About Me

my bio

I’m Pete, a photographer, creative, and observer of unscripted moments.

I started photographing the world because I couldn’t not. There’s something about the pause between moments — the glance, the quiet laugh, the barely-lit corner of a scene — that has always pulled me in.

Today I shoot events, portraits, and travel commissions with a street photographer’s documentary mindset: unposed, observational, real.

I live in York and work across the UK and beyond. Outside of photography, I co-run a media production company, lift heavy things, and get outdoors whenever I can. I'm a musician (singer-songwriter) too. Go check out my new album!

If you have a project, a story, or an idea you want to bring to life, I’d love to hear about it.

Photography should feel like a memory, not a performance.

Chasing Real Moments Since the Start

I’ve been drawn to documentary-style photography since I first picked up a camera as a kid. Even then, I knew I didn’t want to take the same posed family portraits I saw hanging on walls around me. I looked for angles, for real scenes, for moments that felt alive.

That same instinct drives my work today. Whether I’m photographing an event, capturing portraits, documenting a conference, or working on a project for good, my aim is always the same: to create images that feel honest, immediate, and emotional.

I want the photographs I take to hold onto a feeling. To let people look back and experience the moment again, just as it was when the shutter pressed.
